Sue Scharf, Director at the Wellness Forum in Grand Rapids, MI has invited NoGMO4Michigan to come and educate the public about Genetically Modified Organisms.  What is a GMO, what are some of the health risks, are there associated risks to the environment?  This and many other questions will be answered for you.  Please join our Grand Rapids Chapter Educational Speaker, Ryan Kelley, as he presents the risks associated with GMOs and identifies ways in which you can protect your health and the health of your family.

We will start our March at Ah-Nab-Awen Park at 2PM.  (Please start gathering and organizing around 1:30 PM) We will discuss rules and ways in which to keep the demonstration peaceful and respectful at all times!  Our march will end with a Rally and Community Awareness Event at Ah-Nab-Awen Park around 2:30PM.  Come enjoy a day of Music, Vendors (Food, Artist, Farms, and Holistic), GMO Speakers, and sustainable / educational workshops and classes.

Types:  Farmer’s that have organic GMO free produce, Food, Holistic healing, Artist, Health minded stores and organizations etc... (You do not have to sell something to be a vendor. You may promote your business)

Speakers

We are looking for people that walk different paths and have different lifestyles to come and Speak about GMO’s and have a personal experience or knowledge to share with the community relating to GMO’s.

March against Monsanto to stand together with the global community concerend about our health, the health of future generations and the health of the environment. Other countries have banned Monsanto and their products! At the very least we want to know what is in our food and demand our food be labeled as to whether or not it contains GMOs! We will meet at the Farmers Market at 2pm and march from the Commons, down Washington Street to McClellan. Optional socializing/picnicing at Harlow Street Park. hope to see you there!

The march will begin at the People's Food Co-Op of Kalamazoo at 1pm.  We will discuss rules and ways in which to keep the demonstation peaceful and respectful at all times!  Our march will end with a rally and community awareness event at Bronson Park immediately following the march through downtown.  Come enjoy a day of fun and help spread awareness in our community!
